Surgical Services

SCCH offers a wide range of surgical services including general, orthopedic, ophthalmologic, obstetric, and gynecological surgeries; anesthesia services; therapeutic pain management; infusion therapy; and endoscopy. The surgical team includes skilled surgeons, using the latest available surgical techniques and instrumentation supported by highly trained, compassionate nurses, Certified Surgical Technologists and CRNAs from the Regional Anesthesia Group.

General Surgery

Includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Upper endoscopy/gastrointestinal endoscopy
  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy/gallbladder
  • Appendectomy
  • Small bowel surgery
  • Mastectomy
  • Breast biopsy
  • Sentinel node biopsy
  • Stereotactic breast biopsy
  • Port placement
  • Excision skin lesions—all areas of the body—benign and malignant
  • Thyroid, parathyroid
  • Hernias—all types, lap or open
  • Colon/rectal

 

Gynecologic/Obstetric Surgery

Includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies
  • Laparoscopic procedures
  • D&C procedures
  • Endometrial ablation
  • C-sections
  • Removal ovarian masses, cysts and tumors
Orthopedic Surgeries

Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Arthroscopy—knee and shoulder
  • Rotator cuff repair
  • Total knee replacement
  • Total hip replacement
  • Fracture fixation
Ophthalmologic Procedure

Includes, but is not limited to, Cataracts.

Pain Management Procedures

Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Epidural steroid injections
  • Intrathecal narcotics
  • Regional blockades
  • Continuous blocks
  • Trans-abdominal plane blocks for OB/GYN patients for C-sections or hysterectomies
Laboring Mothers

Laboring mothers are able to receive epidurals, as well as other forms of pain management, throughout the labor and delivery process.
