Emergency Services

Sullivan County Community Hospital’s Emergency Room services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department is staffed by a physician at all times, and a fully trained staff of nurses and paramedics, to ensure the best care in a timely manner.

It is the goal of our Emergency Department to care for your medical conditions within an acceptable time frame. However, patients requiring critical or urgent care are seen first, which may lengthen wait times for other patients.

If you need emergency services, if possible, please remember to bring the following:

  • Your insurance card
  • Your Social Security Number
  • A list of any medications you are taking
  • Any information you have about allegories or medical conditions the medical staff should e aware of when treating you.

For those patients needing more extreme emergency care, SCCH utilizes medical helicopters from Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis (Lifeline), Deaconess Hospital in Evansville (Lifeflight), and Air Evac in Brazil.

Sullivan County Community Hospital recommends a pre-consent form for parents to give to their child’s caregiver in the event of an emergency situation while the parent(s) is away. The completed forms should be left with those who are caring for your children in your absence, and a copy may also be kept on file in the Emergency Room.
