| Sullivan County Community Hospital will become a smoke/tobacco free campus beginning Thursday, November 15, 2012. No smoking or tobacco products will be allowed at any of the SCCH facilities, including the hospital building, sidewalks, parking lots, entryways, SCCH Fitness Center, and the IVY Tech/Edward Jones facility on the campus. This is to encourage a healthier, more healing environment for all patients, visitors and employees of the hospital and its surroundings.
Smoking cessation classes will be offered to employees and community members who are interested in stopping their smoking habit. Classes are tentatively scheduled to begin in September, with each session being a five-week course. More details will be posted as they become available.
