 Sullivan County Community Hospital has implemented an occupational health and wellness program designed to work hand-in-hand helping local employers with their many employee health needs, as well as assist employers with controlling costs associated with rising workers’ compensation and general healthcare costs.
The WellnessWorks program is designed to provide on-going communication and easy access to health care services for both employers and their employees in an effort to improve the overall health of the workforce.
There is no cost to enroll in the WellnessWorks program, which is comprised of four segments:
- Prevention Services: provides employers with easy access to healthcare services and information. This includes providing on-site safety talks and health events to scheduling physicals, drug screens and flu shot clinics.
- Injury Intervention: the physicians who participate in the care of WellnessWorks enrollees establish a return to work strategy and help minimize treatment time and lost work days, while effectively treating the employee’s ailment.
- Service Coordination: A 24/7 hotline serves as a communication hub within the healthcare system to assist employers with scheduling and tracking cases. The Service Coordination department acts as a liaison between all parties involved with managing employee health needs.
- Wellness Promotion: Assists employers in educating their employees regarding general health policies and plans. A variety of wellness services are available such as health events, health education talks and health screenings, all of which can be performed onsite.
