Sullivan County Community Hospital has established a service line aimed at assisting those with work-related or sports injuries. SCCH Sports/Industrial Rehabilitation is a collaboration between the hospital's Rehab Services department, the SCCH Fitness Center, and Michael Doty, physical therapist, formerly of Sullivan Rehab and Sports PT.
A consulting office is now set up in the Specialty Clinic located within SCCH for Michael to assess and treat patients with physician referral, along with his physical therapy assistant, Karen Harper. In addition, equipment in the Rehab Services department and SCCH Fitness Center will be utilized for further treatment progression.

Physical Therapists Michael and Susan Doty have more than 60 years of experience in treating sports and industrial related injuries. Their staff provides quality, compassionate care to the patient in order to get them back in the game or the workforce as quickly as possible.
Kurt Madsen, D.O., orthopedic surgeon, is serving as Medical Director for the program. Dr. Madsen has performed a number of procedures at SCCH, including kyphoplasty, total joint replacement and fracture repair. Dr. Madsen will be available on a consultative basis as needed.
